Disney Dream
Disney has proven that they can handle the cruise ship industry just as well as the theme park industry. The popularity of the Magic and the Wonder resulted in a new ship, The Dream. She lives up to her name. With the Dream, Disney challenged the other lines with their massive ship size. She's one of the largest on the sea. The Dream and Fantasy are the 4th longest ships on the sea. The Dream has a different feel than the classic ships. Some people prefer the smaller ships because they feel more homey and easily manageable. If you are looking for "grand", in every since of the word, try the Dream or Fantasy. The Dream is the perfect ship to get a taste of what a Disney cruise is like. She's the ship for your 3 and 4 night cruises to the Bahamas. Fair warning though, if you go choose the 3 night you'll be wishing you'd done the 4!
Now for a few facts about the ship -
She's a lot bigger than her older sisters. The Dream has 14 decks and is 1,115 feet long. That's 3 more decks than the Magic or Wonder. She has 1,250 state rooms and the capacity to accommodate 4,000 passengers. And waiting to cater to you every need, 1,458 crew members.

If dining is on your mind (and chances are it is if you are cruising) the Disney Dream will deliver. There are 3 main restaurants for your dining rotation, Animator's Palette, Enchanted Garden and Royal Palace. If this is your first Disney cruise then rotational dining may be new for you. You'll be dining in a different dining room, each with a different menu and theme, each night of your cruise. Your wait staff rotates with you. You also have the option of buffet dining. Cabana's is the place to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you just wanna grab what you want off the buffet. Have a seat anywhere in the restaurant or out on deck. You have adults only options too. The difference in the Dream and Fantasy and the classic ships is that you have 2 options for adult only dining. Palo and Remy are a foodies delight. Palo offers Northern Italian fare with a contemporary twist. Remy, inspired by the movie, offers the finest in French inspired cuisine. I love Palo but Remy is an experience NOT to be missed. Remy and Palo both have an extra fee for the experience, $75 pp at Remy and $20 pp at Palo. It's worth more than that. Yum!!!
All Disney ships have entertainment areas specific to all ages. For the kids there's Oceaneer Club, Oceaneer Lab , Vibe and Edge. When the adults go out they can leave the smaller kiddos at It's a Small World nursery.
There's also the pool areas for kids and families. Don't miss Nemo's reef with the really little ones. The big thrill on the Dream and the Fantasy is the introduction of the AquaDuck, an awesome water slide at sea that actually goes out over the ocean.
The adult areas on the Dream are taken to a whole new level. There's the adult only pool areas, the amazing Senses spa and the adult only entertainment complex.
Whether you are traveling with kids or not, the Dream is a perfect 3 or 4 night getaway! Find out more about the Disney Dream at www.disneycruiseline.com
