Munich, Germany
What she thoughtWe began our trip in Munich, flying into the Munich airport. The airport was very easy to navigate and we were quickly on our way with our rental car. Our only stop in Munich was the English Garden. We had, or I should say, I had grand ideas of all we could do in Munich before heading south to Schwangau where we were staying for the night. Jetlag had other ideas for me and we only got in the one stop. I'm so glad we did as the Garden was beautiful and the weather was perfect. So, I have little to offer as far as tips on Munich except to say do not miss the English Garden, just one of Munich's jewels.

What he thoughtTragedy on day one! A five-thousand mile, international red-eye and flying east to boot - makes for a slow start. Next time Munich is going to get to know us better! The little we managed to squeeze in was fantastic nonetheless. The brilliance of the Biergarten concept is certainly not lost on me. If you love beer, beautiful weather, delectable savory treats and a relaxed atmosphere that is difficult to describe to Americans -- so unique to this region that Bavarians have their own word for it: gemütlichkeit -- then you should give this place a try. Next time, the BMW museum and a LOT more BEER!
