Disneyland Paris
What she thoughtHere we are again, where it all started.. we came here on our honeymoon and here we are ummmm.... a "few" years later. Disneyland Paris is interesting. The park is absolutely beautiful. Sleeping Beauty Castle is in a league of it's own. Space Mountain? The best anywhere. Since our honeymoon I've often said I'd pay for a plane ticket just to ride it again. We do have Rock N' Rollercoaster now at WDW which is the same ride concept so if I close my eyes and pretend.... I can save $1000 on a ticket. As much as I love this park, it just lacks the magic, you know that feeling you still get when you walk down Main Street USA, of WDW or California. I can't explain why, it's just different. If you go to France and can make time to go to Disneyland you definitely should. Just seeing that castle is enough of a reason.

What he thoughtThe Disneyland Paris park is as full of magic as any Disney park would be. The imagineers have worked it over with the attention to detail you would expect. The only problem with this place, unfortunately, is that the locals bring in their slovenliness. In the US, we have the courtesy to tidy up a public table after we use it for lunch. In Paris, it is typical that you just leave all your garbage lying about. It's very frustrating for someone accustomed to better cleanliness -- especially in a place like this!
It's still worth a visit though. Some of the attractions are unique. The castle is quite beautiful. It's small compared to the US parks and a bit more expensive. The Disney hotels on property are considerably better but costlier. We'll have to come up with some budget strategies for travelers I suppose. |
