Hotel Müller - Hohenschwangau, Germany

While in Schwangau, Germany we stayed at Hotel Müller and I highly recommend it. We stayed right at the base of the road leading up to Neuschwanstein Castle. The horse drawn carriages that will take you up to the castle pick you up directly in front of the hotel. It couldn’t be more convenient.  What an unbelievable view we had!  From our balcony the view to the left was Neuschwanstein Castle and to the right was a breathtaking view of the Alps and Alpsee. Hotel Müller also has a restaurant on site so breakfast and dinner were very convenient.  You can see our balcony in the pic below. It’s the one with the columns  on the second floor. We had a very nice room with a spacious bathroom.

You can see how close we were to one of the two castles. The other castle, Hohenschwangau, was even closer!  This little village is just amazing. We were there on a great weekend, not too crowded. The middle of summer can bring long lines so plan accordingly. We purchased our castle tour tickets online prior to our trip. This can save you a lot of time in line. We were even able to pick the time we wanted to go on the tours. And, best of all, the staff at Hotel Müller got our tickets delivered to the hotel for us.
