World Golf  Village Renaissance Resort by Marriott near St. Augustine, Florida

We stayed at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village on our trip to St. Augustine. We don't golf but if golfing is your thing, this is a great resort for you. It's right in the middle of World Golf Village conveniently located right off of I-95.  The room was very spacious and had an extra large bathroom which is always a  super bonus!  The best part was that they have Aveda amenities in their bathrooms!
The resort boasts two championship golf courses, a billiard room and a fitness center or you can be lazy and chill by the seasonally heated outdoor pool.  When you are ready to head to St. Augustine just jump on the complimentary shuttle. If you like the independence of driving your own car that's easy too, it's only 15 min to downtown St. Augustine.
It wasn't the closest resort to St. Augustine but they had great rates and we knew we would have a nice room since it was a Marriott hotel. I had stayed in St. Augustine before and found a lot of the hotels were old and it showed. I was happy we had a great room and great service even if it meant an extra 15 min in the car.
Even if you aren't headed to St. Augustine for the day, you just need a place to rest your head on I-95, this is a great hotel to stay at.
